2. Keep Backgrounds Simple

   • Choose a clean, uncluttered background.

   • Avoid busy or distracting settings that take attention away from you.

3. Lighting Matters

   • Use natural light whenever possible.

   • Make sure your face is clearly visible, without harsh shadows.

4. Presentation

   • Look directly at the camera with your eyes open.

   • Avoid sunglasses, distracting hats, or clothing that takes focus away from your face.

5. No Filters or Editing Tricks

   • Do not use filters, effects (sparkles, hearts, confetti, etc.), or face-editing apps like Facetune.

   • Do not apply Lightroom presets or edits that distort your appearance.

6. Authentic Photography Only

   • AI-generated photos are not allowed.

   • Your entry must be a real photo taken with a camera or phone.

7. Photo Styles Accepted

   • Novice photos may be color or black and white.

   • They may be headshots, ¾ length, or full-length images.

   • All photo styles will be judged together in one division.
